Licensing
Install and activate your personal CueForge 0.99.1 private-beta license.
CueForge 0.99.1 uses signed licenses. Access is determined by the installed license; a release build does not unlock everything automatically and does not accept a Development license.
Your private-beta license
Invited testers receive an individual .cueforge-license file. The current private-beta licenses grant all current capabilities, are valid through 31 December 2026, and permit use on up to two machines. Keep your own license private. These terms describe the current invitation licenses, not future retail pricing.
Install your license
- Save the license attachment to your computer.
- Open Settings → Licensing → Install License….
- Select your
.cueforge-licensefile. - Review the name, license details and validity, then confirm Install License (or Replace License when replacing an older license).
- Confirm that your license is Valid and its signature is Verified. The private-beta license uses the Pro edition with explicit capability grants.
A Community or missing-license state means that your beta entitlement has not been installed. Do not use a developer license or an old license file from another tester to work around this.
Machine activation and offline use
The signed activation request/response workflow is implemented. If the Licensing page requests activation:
- Choose Export Activation Request… on the computer that will run CueForge.
- Send that request file to the beta team.
- Receive the signed response for that machine and import it in Licensing.
- Restart CueForge and check the license and activation status before rehearsal.
The existing workflow supports offline activation and offline operation with valid entitlement. Activation responses are machine-specific: a second computer needs its own request. The two-machine allowance is license policy; there is currently no shared online counter that enforces it across offline computers.
Problems and renewals
If the signature is invalid, your name is wrong, or the license has expired, contact the person who supplied your beta license. Do not edit the file: changing signed details invalidates it. Expiration and validity still apply offline.
Retail prices, maintenance plans and purchasing options are outside this private-beta guide. See Installation for the supported packages and Troubleshooting for diagnostic reports.
